Ferraris

Who doesn't love and respect Ferrari? Isn't this quite possibly the coolest company in the world. They produce the highest end sports car in the world. Performance wise you can't top what they put on the road, but more importantly than the racing effectiveness of their cars is that they have personality and a charisma about them. Long ago the precedence for fast beautiful cars was set by Enzo Ferrari and ever since each generation of car lovers have gone to sleep each night dreaming about the cars they produce.

I'm not sure if I will ever own a Ferrari, even if I could come up with the $50-$200k to buy a car from them, the maintenance and upkeep of the car would probably put me under. I don't think that my wife would understand the refinancing of the home and closing out of the 401k to make it happen. That being said I could be perfectly content dreaming and reading about these amazing cars.

The Ferrari F40 has to be one of the most technologically advanced car for its time. This car was produced in the late 1980's and literally turned the super car world on it's head. The looks like a bulldog in a tuxedo with sharp lines, a hunched stance and a mean look. The F40 looks like it could break the sound barrier without much trouble.

My personal favorite Ferrari is the F355 Spider. This is a rather simple member of the Ferrari family compared to many of its brothers and sisters. The car is shorter than most and powered by a 375 horsepower V8. You can find these cars used now for anywhere between $50-$100k depending on the shape the vehicle is in. You won't break any land speed records, the Spider will do 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds, which on the other hand isn't anything to laugh at. The key is that you are still driving a Ferrari, enough said.

The 355 is still one of the best looking cars on the road.
