Chris Nichols is one of the most underrated, home grown, do it yourself, automotive aftermarket swap artists. This guy is virtually unknown.
Without a bit of experience or formal training he took a Nissan 240 and swapped the four cylinder engine for a corvette V8. People think he is crazy when they ask why he put a "heavy" V8 in a Japanese Sports Coupe but as Chris Nichols explained to me the aluminum V8 is virtually the same weight as the big four cylinder!
I actually drove the Nissan 240 SX with the Corvette engine and it actaully shoots FIRE out of the exhaust. Unbelievable. I have driven some extremely fast cars but this car is a total beast.
He made a believer out of me with this project car. Even those of you car enthusiasts that are on a tight budget can own a true super car. I would wager that his 240 is faster than a stock C6 Z06!!! Let's face it a C6 Z06 is one of the best bang for your buck super cars.
I can not take part now in discussion - it is very occupied. But I will soon necessarily write that I think.
